The following information is from Adoption Services and is a helpful resource for adoption support groups in Georgia:

Adoption support groups and adoption internet sites exist that can to help each party involved in the adoption process.

There are adoption related support groups for adopting families who are thinking about a domestic adoption or an international adoption and other adoption groups for those who have already completed the adoption process.

There are adoption support groups for birth mothers and birth fathers who are thinking of placing their child for adoption and for those who have already placed a child.

And, there are adoption groups for grandparents, other relatives, for the adoptee, and for those searching for an adopted child or for a birth parent.

Each adoption site offers something a little different but all try to offer support, encouragement, and adoption related information.  The site you are now looking at includes a list of hundreds of adoption related support groups from across the United States. You can search these adoption groups by state and then find a support group or site that most interests you.  The quality of the groups varies greatly, so you may have to contact several before you find one that fits your needs and where you feel comfortable. I have included in most state listings several support groups for adopting families and a few of the ones for birth parents.
