Today is the first day of the 2007 Georgia Family Law Institute, conducted by the Family Law Section of the State Bar of Georgia and the Institute of Continuing Legal Education in Georgia, at Amelia Island, Florida. This is the 25th year in which the seminar has been held and it is the largest ever: over 400 family law attorneys in attendance! We are honored to also have all seven Justices of the Supreme Court of Georgia (who will be hearing a mock appellate argument on the issue of property division), at least 20 Superior Court judges from around the state, several Juvenile Court Judges and a Bankruptcy Court Judge. I will provide a more detailed discussion of some of the seminar topics in later posts this week.
